Spring/Summer Group Tours 

Bring your class, scout troop, or other group to experience our unique hands-on tours of DelVal University’s working farm! On our age-appropriate field trip, students will encounter and learn about the various crops and animals raised at Delaware Valley University. Come learn all about farming and leave with an understanding of where our food comes from. Activities include:

  • Wagon ride through DelVal farm
  • Informational talk about agriculture

Tours are available 9 am to 4 pm Monday – Friday from April 1 to September 14, and last from 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Cost is $5/person, 1 free admission with every 15 paid guests. Reservations are required. Please click button to book online.

Pick Your Own

Take a wagon ride to hand pick strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches or apples. Our crops are dependent on the weather, so the timing of pick your own is highly variable. We do our best, but we can’t guarantee that pick your own crops will be available at the time of your trip.

Dairy Tour

Get up close and personal with the dairy cows that live on campus at Delaware Valley University. Take a wagon ride to the dairy barn to see where the cows are milked, fed, and raised while learning all about the dairy industry. Activities include:

Going Green Tour

While taking a wagon ride around DelVal’s farms, learn how DelVal practices eco-friendly methods. Kids will learn how to leave the world better place through clean energy, sustainable living and recycling.

Plant a Seed

Get your hands dirty while learning how plants grow from seeds. Each student plants two pots of flowers to take and nurture at home.

Important Farm Tour Information:

Picnic Tables – If you would like to bring lunch or purchase food from our vendors, picnic tables are available on a first come, first served basis. You are welcome to bring blankets to sit on in the event no tables are available. You may also wish to bring handi-wipes for the children.

Dress Code – Please ask parents to dress children appropriately. The farm is generally cooler and muddier then your backyard.

Farm Market – Is open for everyone to enjoy! We sell farm fresh fruits and veggies, fresh-baked cookies, and candy, in addition to many gift items. When visiting our market, we require that each group of children have adequate adult supervision.

Behavior Problems – The Market staff may ask children who are behaving in an unsafe manner to wait for his/her group on the bus or at another designated location. Please remember that it is the responsibility of the group leaders and chaperones to supervise the children in their group.
